Stan,
Tried it, it works like a champ...I had dumped it into the root directory
figuring it would find it in the path, but should have thought to put it
where windows was looking for it.
I would have never guess I had such an old version of MSCOMM32.ocx in my
system folder.
Thanks!
DC

I don't use it, going to have a look if it will run on wine later though.
Well now, did you try reading the error message? ;)
Do a 'find files' on MSCOMM32 and you should come up with at least 2 files,
the one in the windows system folder and the one that came with the
application. Move the one in the win sys folder to somewhere safe and copy
the one in the apps folder to the win sys folder (note the 'copy'
and 'move'). Not sure how win loads libs and such but you would be better
off
rebooting, then try the app again.
A quick check on google says its a windows device driver so if all your
updates are done it 'should' be the right one. Try updating first (if its
not
already done) and if it doesn't work go for the 'move the version that came
with the app' option.
cheers
