I have worked with about 3 different brands of VFD.
A couple of things not to do: DO NOT put a switch between the VFD and
load . Do not switch the power into the VFD to control the ON-OFF.
All the ones I worked with had automatic shut down in the event of an
overload. I have 2 of them a 2HP and a 5HP. I power them from 220V
single phase and they out put 220v 3Phase but at half power. Meaning I
run a 2hp motor on the 5HP and a 3/4 HP on the 2HP. There are a lot of
neat features on them.
