One point that's AutoCAD related.If you draw the two lines that represent
the straight sides of the slot, AutoCAD will "fillet" the lines with
whatever radius is required.

Example: Draw a line, offset it .5625 and start the fillet command. Pick
the two lines near one end and AutoCAD will connect the lines with a radius
the will "mate" with the end of the lines. Do the same for the other end
and yo will have a slot with arcs that fit. The lines do not need to be
parallel either.

Hi Gary and All:
Double check the radius for the ends down to four places.
What often happens is
that you have the radius as .281" and the slot width as .5625". The arc
will not meet the side
of the slot as it as it is off by .0005". This a common problem with arc's.
