If it is a stepper they frequently have a plate rating for max temp or temp
rise. I have some superior units that have a plate rating of 200 deg F on
the end bell and some vexa units that are rated for an 85 deg C temp rise.
Personally I get concerned when the motors are hotter than I want to hold,
but according to the specs I am just chicken on this point.
