Re: Rotary Axis home and/or limit switches

We did not "all" miss that point with regard to the limit switch and a rotary function.

That is why I posted a few days ago the idea for having a threaded rod, driven from the table rotation, where the limit switch would only be activated in the middle of the rod by a cam, with a threaded hole in it, riding up and down the threaded rod.

To include sensors to show in which direction the table has rotated from the middle position.

I also suggested a PIC to handle the logic of direction and number of turns!

There might be better methods, but surely this is "a" method that I feel that is being completely ignored (it would appear!)

It is also so simple that our DIY brethren (inclusing myself!) can easily reproduce!!
