I just checked the prices. the 8x is about $250 more as there is also an up-charge for freight. that might be offset by shippping charges for the 7x. but then it would not have as much 'stuff' as the 7x comes with.
ROOM.. SPACE the much needed things are better in the 8x to add nuts for ball screws and such.
