It's actually 0.001" or 25.4 microns/0.0254mm for the rest of the world :-)
Perfectly adequate for aeromodelling/woodwork etc in general 'though - and probably most other hobby stuff I should think =;-)
Also doesn't need a primary degree in astrophysics to drive it - my granddaughter (she's four) can create 3D dolls houses without any effort !
