Hi Lester,

That off-white, translucent plastic, from which the collet containers are made, is likely some sort of long-chain polymer. You will be hard pressed finding a glue that will really bond to it. On the other hand, that sort of cheap plastic is rather elastic and those caps will lose their grip on the cans soon enough. As long as they come out with the cans, you can easily replace them. If you glue them in securely, you’ll have a hard time getting them to out in order to replace them. I’ve gotten bit on that previously and recommend you not make the same mistake.

The block is a 6mm offcut of perspex, with the two colour plastic stuck on
either side. The original idea was that the lids of the pots would simply stay
stuck in the hole, and you pull the top off, but it needed a better glue than
the black stuff I'd used ;)
