ron I agree with tom .005 just isnt going to happen for you, that said
careful attention and always using fresh consumables will help
tremendously. I dont know how high freq starts but a shop I used to work at
had an esab that did not generate a pilot arc and it seems to me this would
be very detrimental to a plasma table (this unit was hand operated), not to
steer you off but 6 yrs ago I bought the 650 dollar harbor freight cutter
with pilot arc and have found consumables to be very reasonable and
performance outstanding far surpassing what one would expect from h.f.
P.s. hows the new job going? I just started a fresh one myself and they are
wanting me to be the nite foreman interesting
