I need some info on turning a Pacific Scientific 6420 ino a 6410

I have two 6420 driver/indexers. I want to pull the indexer cards and just use the step direction pins on J1. On my Parker Compumotor OEM 650x's I had to put five jumpers on the pins that the indexer board plugged into.
The only clue I've found on how to make the 6410 board work was some photos on Ebay for 6410's that were for sale and had the covers off. What is confusing is that the 6410 boards either have no jumpers or one jumper on pins 11 and 13.
Does anyone have any info on this. Is the jumper mandatory or optional and what option does it activate?
