Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Machinist Handbook location
later look for a 'Bound' version or (worst-case) have the downloaded one printed. I'll assume its 600 to 900 pages. I have to get more current with my documents and I guess that will force me to organize my shop a little more.. To easy to let a shop get cluttered up..

Machinery's Handbook is really not the same thing as the Navy Machinist's Handbook.
Machinery's handbook is mainly for reference, like to find out the maximum major diameter of a 1/4-28 thread in a certain tolerance, for example.
The Navy Machinist's Handbook seems to be more of a general teaching volume on how to machine.

Thank You for the update on the current version Ralph.
Yes, Andy I was referring to the Machinery's one. I guess I'm to overloaded with the version I have to look for the Navy one. I guess I should
adopt the Navy version since I'm sure its got to be better than what I have. Getting the electronic version would be great but in my shop I'm used to pulling out the book version.
What do you think I should stick to using? Is there an updated Navy Print that I can order somewhere?
Thanks for the info on an Alternate-source.

I believe that you are referring to Machinery's Handbook, while the group has copies of the Navy Machinist's Handbook.

What Edition of Machinist Handbook are we up to? I have Edition 26 but I'm not sure what year that would reflect..??
What would 2013-2014th edition number be?
Thank You ahead of time for any help with this.

Check in to the group once in a while, maybe post a test message to show activity. If it disappears, make a new group, and load the Handbook, and also post the location in other groups that might be interested.
Maybe add other files of interest to learning machinists, ask others to do so.
Just thoughts..
