I'm hoping that shortly I will be able to devote the time necessary in order to learn the jargon, menus to gain the knowledge needed for mach3. I have the machine Taig with the complete setup. Very nice, if I'm not out of line for saying so. Different users of different machines say that it is best to have a separate PC for the machine & one for the software, if I have that right???

There are a number of videos on youtube dealing with mach3 that look promising. Also I'm sure that Artsoft also have good videos as well as manuals. Once I can get a handle on all the nomenclature & what it means ......

To begin with the next step is to get comfortable with mach3 & wizards for process of creating a 2D engraving or simple drill circle pattern. If all goes well I have not a problem with possible purchasing a Newfangled license with the integrated wizards. Nice to know that the Forum Family is here to provide direction ..... even for an older citizen.

Right now need to build that second PC. Thanks to you and everyone that provided there insight & expertise.  PM   USAF.. 62-66

Probably the most common problem new guys have with Mach3 is entering
numbers into a DRP. They click the DRO, enter a number, then click
another place. Mach3 reverts the DRO to the original value. You must hit
the enter key to tell Mach3 you really want to enter the new value.

There are many wizards in Mach3. Many were user contributed and each one
is stand alone- it does only one job.

There is a set called the Newfangled Suite, or the AddOns for Mach3.
These are an integrated set of wizards that can be used to create one
job composed of many steps. These are also supported (by me) but they
have a license key and do cost extra. Thre are also several other handy
wizards that are part of the Newfangled license. You buy the license for
$50 from teh mahsupport.com web site.

When youopen the wizard list in mach3 you wil see a coloum for author.
If it says Newfangled they are supports and licensed. If it has a person
name they are unsupported contributions.

Sounds like everything I will need to formulate a simple circle hole pattern is all available in some of the wizards. Not sure what you mean by pree the enter key for it to stick. Thanks for the note Dan. Your link will be helpful. PM
