I think these drives have made a servo-believer out of me. I have been
tinkering with CNC for a couple years, and always with steppers. It is
clear that steppers are eaiser to use. Lots of software generates step
and dir signals, stepper motors and drives can be easily picked, as long
as the voltage and current levels match. Lots of steppers on the surplus
markets.

I got a geko servo drive, and have spent just a day or so playing with
it, but I am now convinced that it is the way to go. One neat little box
that simply works. Easy to setup, and no software issues- except for
the max step rate, but a number of solutions exist for that.

So, I have found a couple surplus servo motors, and Im on my way to a
servo system.

I sure hope Mariss can keep on making these, at this price, and I hope
he makes enough money to keep right on doing them.
