There are others which a search of the net would find. There are also quite
a few kits on the market for 'black boxes' to plug in the parallel port to
convert the PC into a digital storage 'scope. The problem as I see it is
that, if you are using a sound card for input, there will be a voltage
limitation - probably around 10 volts max. - which would be too low for our
use in checking stepper driver outputs - OK for the TTL stuff but not for
the power side. The commercial kits for the parallel port on the other hand,
seem to accept voltages up to 100 volts. I wonder if it just needs a
transformer or something to step the voltage down to a 'safe' level for the
sound card?
