Well, they are somewhat rusted. Tell me more. How much rust
is too much? They still seem to be smooth, that is, not
pitted. I have very little idea what i'm doing, but lots of
spare time. I have only a vague notion of what hand scraping
is, but it sounds tedious and frustrating. I don't mind a
bit of a project, but I'm not looking to start a collection
of useless chunks of cast iron.

The price is right, all I have to do is haul it away and
it's mine. That doesn't exactly mean it's free since it's on
an island and I would have to pay the barge operator to get
it back to the mainland. Anyone have an guess about what it
weighs?

Anyone have a clue as to what size tooling it takes, etc.?
I'll appreciate any hints I can get. Have I found something
good, or am I about to get myself in trouble?
