One more item to consider is the controler. The software in the Ah ah
controler causes a short pause to happen each time there is a change
from one move to another. This pause is long enough for the torch to
lose its preheat.

This was as of a few years ago. Does anyone know if the Ah ah
controllers still have this problem?
