Depends what you want to boot. A NT (Win2000) bootup disk is different from
a WIN9X or DOS disk in that a the NT disk does not have the complete boot
sequence, only the initial start files. Once they load the bootup is
transferred to the hard drive.
To make an NT start disk first format the disk under NT then copy the files
boot.ini and ntdetect.com (you may need a scsi start file if you run scsi
drives and don't have a card that loads a BIOS). That will start up the
system you created the disk on (NT startup disks are system specific. If all
the defaults were chosen during installation you may be able to use it on
another system set up the same way.) This disk will not allow you to boot a
system that does not already have NT installed.
If you want a DOS or WIN9X startup disk let me know and I will post an image
and a program to write the disk onto the web.
