Re: Where to buy a servo (inexpensively)...

Doug,

I think the latest price is for an SEM motor. Autocon (Dynapath)
told me they are using a different supplier now. 4-5 years ago I
paid approx $875 for the Baldor replacement through Autocon.

At that time Baldor said the motor was an OEM special for Autocon and
they could not sell direct to me. Who knows what's special about
it. Most likely the cable connection for one thing. The armature of
my first bad motor had "Dynapath" written on it in felt marker, I
assume that was done at Baldor, so for whatever reason it looks like
they were putting a special armature in Autocon's motors.

Where did you buy the Baldor for $770? It'd be nice to have as many
sources as possible.

I'm in Seattle.

thanks,

Doug
