To comp for tapers and blended radii, make an offset curve equal to the tool radius and then translate it down in X and back in Z, by the size of your radius. This will generate a tool path that correctly cuts a taper and any combinations of radii. It also allows you to set your tool from a face cut and from a turned diameter.
Vector generates the finish tool path as part of the roughing cycle, and uses arcs where appropriate to rough out curves.
Also check out Lathe Quick Code. It will handle most of the missing needs in Bobcad, like threading and grooving. It was written to accompany Bobcad and fill in the holes. Be careful when using Bobcad to rough out a groove. It is not always aware that you can't cut with the side of a grooving tool (like a parting tool).
