Limit Switch help

I need help with a limit switch circut for a special tool I am
building. There is only space for one switch to be remote mounted and
it will act as the overtravel limit for both directions.
When the tool reaches the end of travel, the switch would stop the
motor foreward motion, but allow it to move in the opposite direction.
When it reaches the end going the other way, the cycle repeats itself.
Stop, reverse, stop, reverse.
The motor is a little DC 24v gearhead.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks
