Howdy! I recently took a 10mb tape drive apart and found Hall-effect
switches that are ~ 0.2" on a side and ~ 0.1" thick. Your limitation
might be the magnet to trip the Hall-effect chip. I have also come
across SPDT "microswitches" about 0.4" x 0.3" x 0.2". Just more options
