When I was over in CA last year I had various sorts of gear like
camera's and a laptop I had to keep charged. I had all the right
leads and plugs but some were long with having an adaptor fitted. The
problem I had in all the hotels was that with the two blade plugs
having vertical blades the weight of the plug and lead just levered
it out of the socket.
I had to go around for three weeks with a stack of books just to hold
the plug up and stop it falling out. One instance I can put down to a
bad socket but not at about 8 different hotels.
What is the normal way of stopping this. The nearest I have seen to
the US bladed plug is the Australian one but theirs has horizontal
blades so it can't lever it's way out.
