I think thats about right. I have aboute 150 oz/in motors on my Sherline
and they are OK. I also have the Camtronics board. I do have the
Sherline Z axis fitted with a pulley drive of about 1:1.5 ratio. I thnk
this helps on lifitng the motor. I dont mind if Z goes slower, its
little use in most work I do on the Sherline.

I would STRONGLY suggest CNCPRO instead of either version of Maxnc. I
have maxnc, have used it for quite a while. It works, but its clumsy to
use and completely strange to setup. I tried the CNCPRO demo package and
it ran the Sherline much smoother, and has a very nice interface. I just
sent in my money and got a license for cncpro.
