Step Pulse Timing Question

Hi,

Regarding the thread on this subject. What is the ultimate goal? Is
someone thinking of writing a Win 95/98/2K GUI and a motion control
package that would have external harware or a PCI/ISA slot board?

If so, I have a circuit that would generate 32,768 equaly spaced
frequencies plus direction. Max frequency is not a problem up to 4
MHz. The CPU overhead would be 2 to 3 bytes per axis 256 to 1024
times a second. Cost would be less than $30 an axis and would be
modular, including general purpose I/O.
