Is someone thinking of writing a Win 95/98/2K GUI and a motion control

Mariss,
I am one of the semi commercial guys on the list. A good, easy to
implement, reliable, versatile and fast/smooth control package would be a
dream come true.
I currently use several, one brand I am not happy with the quality of the
software. Accel, decel and look ahead are not what it could be. The other
package I have has very nice software and hardware, the cost is enough to
cause a heart attack.
If you can create a nice "open" package with a GUI etc, plug and playable
out of the box, I'm sure many on the list would jump for it. That along with
your Step/servo drives and it would be awesome. Inputs for limit switches,
general pupose inputs for pallet clamp confirmation etc, outputs for
spindles, coolants, misc automation etc.
I wish it would have a pre-opto isolated, pre cabled I/o card that can be
dropped into a drive cabinet. The other end would be an ISA/PCI card.
I wish the software would support more than 4 axis and possibly more than 16
or more I/O's.
Most importantly, It would be a look ahead type software for those
"bazillion" short segments found in 3D surfacing.
Now, if it cost $400 ready to go, You'd conquer the world. IMHO
