Yall are starting to lose me on this one
are we still talking about running plain old stepper motors
or are we going to treat them as some kind of hybrid mega-pole
sub-micro stepping brushless servo motor with poly-phase
sine wave external amplifier driver boards now?
I always thought the reason steppers were used on low end CNC
machines was that they are cheap and easy to control with just a
couple of pins on the lpt port
don't get me wrong ,its a good brainstorming subject and all
but just how hard can you really push a stepper before you
run into rapidly diminishing returns on the effort?
