If you are looking for manufacturer's data sheets, or just the home page

of a specific manufacturer, Alta Vista is one of the best.

If you are looking for newsgroup discussions or other chat-type info,
then DejaNews was the thing to use, but I don't know if it is
working as well as it used to.
