Hi Tim,
I didn't really explain what I was doing now that I have read the post I put
up. The material would be machined into a roller, with a ball-race inside,
running against an aluminium square section rail. The roller would have a
lip top and bottom to prevent up and down movement. The range of materials
available easily here is, Nylon 66, Nylon 6, Acetal, PTFE, Acrylic and
Tufnol. I'm sure there are many more but not available to me in small
quantities. Have never used plastics before I don't know of their machining
qualities. If I was to obtain material from the States it would be
expensive.
