Today there was a question about knurling, on one of the lists. If you go to
the above link, you will find a utility that will help you. There are many
more utilities that you will like, and all freeware. There is one on Gears
also, took me less than ten minutes to get all the numbers for the metric
change gears for a Myford lathe.

should be an integral multiple of the tooth spacing on the knurl wheel. This
