Thank you for the feedback.

That "simple" SPST switch is fine for manual disable; What about
under program control? Or are you wanting this to be unavailable for
safety/liability reasons?

Those of us using P-port CNC generally have one "bit" for
enable/disable drives. We COULD "sink" to OUR ground, but you prob'ly
wouldn't want that!

Hi,

Though it is not stated in the manual, terminal 12 is actually ground
(same as terminal 1). Shorting term. 11 to term. 12 (ground) would
then stop all switching action on the motor terminals, freewheeling
the motor. This could be as simple as a SPST switch across the
current set resistor.
