or something like that in the linux file. The patch gives a range of line
numbers to look at for the lines to change. Some releases of 5.2 had
other garbage at the head that cause some hunks to fail.
You can get the linux file line number from the error message and look in
the patch file for hunk 1. There you will see what the patch is trying to
replace and you can do it by hand after patching and hunk one has failed.
I know, the 5.2 editors are clunky but it can be done 'cause I did it.
And when I did it I was a complete novice. I think my 5.2 was a Walnut
Creek $3.00 cd.
IMHO this might explain the undeclaired error as well if make zimage was
looking for a specific version. (I normally make bzImage)
