Rick,

Hay, I think you otta try it! Are you saying you use one keyboard OR
the other? A simple switch? At work I have a "simple switch" (crummy
QVS dataswich) on my Development machine, and I have to press the
"keyboard lock up reset" p/b every time I switch keyboards (actually,
switch kbd/monitor between two machines). At home I have it better, a
box that just takes a "keystroke" or a push of a button to select the
machine I'm talking to. But yeah, I want to add a second keyboard! I
bought a "numeric keypad" for notebook computers, it didn't work for me
at all! Even after I bought a mouse/keyboard cable for the IBM
Thinkpad. Could have been defective. Took it back to Fry's.

before, but didn't take the time to look up the signal names of the
lines you were swapping. You've certainly done your homework!

You going to try it (the encoders)?
