Yes, that might be true if we didn't already have so many
developments and advances available to us, to use as a starting
point. Here we have the opportunity to build on "prior art", as I
just responded to Ian. That puts my vote for the smart black box
(but cheaper), if we were to pick one of the previously mentioned
command sets as a starting point. Really, why would we want to
reinvent all three: s/w, h/w, AND the protocol (command set)?
