I'm sure others are interested in a SIMPLE, PROVEN spindle design!

Hi Jon:
I run 9 hour shifts, 6 days a week. My spindle run time is about
60%.
I cut 90% plastics, 5% aluminum and 5% steel on this machine.
I cut dry 100% of the time in plastics, and I do squirt can lube with
aluminum and steel.
But: my spindle can't weigh more than 3 or 4 pounds, and I think that
is
what makes the biggest difference.
They are also small diameter and close to the spindle nose.
The whole setup is more like a powerplane or a router, than a milling
spindle.
