Tim, Matt, Elliot,
I also have a pile of guts from the inside of my series 1 CNC. I am
hoping to find a shop that will have one still running and needs
spares.
The BIG transformer in mine was 230 or 460 3 phase Primary. 60, 70,
80V secondaries.
The 24 volt supply is in the control cabinet just under the tape
reader.
The three identical things I thought were transformers are:
Part #1921375 Saturable Reactor... What the hell is that?
Interesting tidbits from the series 1 service manual.
Step motor power supply - 56V
Test readings for step motors (mine had Sigma motors)
Static current 8.1-8.3 (amp DC)
Running current 4.6-6 (amp DC)
The original machine specs...
Max Rapid speed 120 ipm
Max cutting (G01) speed 30 ipm
