My 386 now recognizes the DRO board! (Sometimes) I now can get the 386
to recognize my board at least 1 of 4 times when I run the program. All
I did to revise the situation was to move the video card to another ISA
slot, and install the DRO board into the slot that previously held the
video card. Is still is not 100%, but thats OK, as I can always get
there, eventually. I suspect that something is wrong with the old 386 to
make it behave so. Oddly, the monitor works fine in the slot that the
DRO didn't like.
I also tried a few things on the old 286-AT. It will run the old
versions of txt_dro.exe, the 2/99 and 4/99 programs, but the latest
won't run on the old machine. That's not a real loss, with the value of
any of these old beasts.
