I just took a look at the DanCAD "official" website and see that it has been
updated and expanded.
For you that are not familiar with DanCAD it is/was one of the original
programs designed to allow a home shop type to play with CNC in a cost
effective manner. It has gotten a little long in the tooth, but is an easy
program to get started with and runs under DOS. I think that some list
members are still using it for some specialized application. The other thing
to know about DanCAD is that the developer is a little exocentric. Brilliant
work and very advanced for it's time, but if you look at the site you will
get a feel for what I am referring to.
