I like Rhino for its 3D CAD features. For 2D CAD I wouldn't touch it! I
use Quick CAD for 2D. It's has features that make CAD drawing much easier
and faster (than Rhino). It is a smaller version of AutoCAD and comes from
the same people but is MUCH cheaper.

For really big design jobs though I really prefer the old 8 foot drawing
board with an 8 foot straight edge. I can draw faster with one of those
than on a computer simply because I can see the entire job at once and it's
much easier to "scroll" (with the eyes) along a straight edge than it is
across a screen.
