Greetings to the group(s)
First I would like to thank Will from nist. The cvs is in pretty good shape
right now. I downloaded the latest code and built it with only 2 minor
hiccups (see web site notes on the 2 directories that are missing). I have
started a web site relating to all my cnc activities.
http://members.home.net/cncstuff/
One of the links has step by step instructions on how to get rtlinux
downloaded, patched and installed, a custom linux kernel built and how to
download, build and run the latest cvs version of EMC. I just finished
building a new computer, so the documentation relates to a clean install of
Redhat 6.2. As I am also in the middle of building a cnc router table and
the electronics for driving it, the site has some stepper driver design
reference notes that I am using. It will ultimately include pictures and
notes on the router table.
I hope this information will help get some more people up and running linux
and EMC.
cheers
