Doug -

Could you give an explanation of how this works? I don't
understand the need for a switch outside of the probe, or is the
right side of the second diagram on the inside?? And, why would
you need an LED external to the probe, or vice-versa, access to
the probe's LED. I'm confused.

This covers the "RTTP" (Renishaw Touch Trigger Probe) format,
used by both Renishaw and Fowler.
