Yes, this is exactly what should be done. It really helps to be able
to view the picture larger than they typically are on a website.
Unfortunately I've seen people who misunderstand the purpose and use
the full size image as the thumbnail by telling your browser to
resize.

If anyone here needs help with this, please contact me off list. This
is obviously OT so I won't mention this here again.
