Bill,
For those who are contemplating doing any serious work with their cnc
router, I recommend the Porter Cable 3.25 hp 5 speed soft start router. The
Porter Cable is the standard in the industry for those that cannot afford a
Colombo or Perski. I bought a Bosch electronic variable speed router (2hp)
and used it cutting Sentra (PVC). The bearings went out after 50 hours.
PVC plastic is very tough on bearings.
For heavy duty use, expect to replace the bearings on the Porter Cable about
every six months.
