Gordon,
One thing I noticed, you say "xxxx.nc.txt", (could have been a typo)
which isn't too good a filename! I think I recall Notepad wanting to
add it's own .txt extension to the END of a name, you need to avoid
that! If that WAS the case, get saved as "xxxx.txt", or "xxxx.nc", and
try that. Then I suspect you won't have to rename the file. CutViewer
and others shouldn't care about the filename extension, they only want
text files. Now CAD's, WP's etc. will!
