These school programs are written using Notepad...just about as "texty" :)
as you can get!

Your reply gave me an idea so I tried it. I saved a second copy of the file
as xxxx.nc.txt and then renamed it xxxx.nc Then I opened it and it
"worked" just fine. Cutviewer asks for tool parameters and stock
sizes...which are easy to input. After hitting the "run" button, the actual
"machined" part looks considerably different than what it does on the real
machine. Guess i'll need to play with it, do some "tweaking here and there
with the codes to see why it's different.


At least I know it "works". Will just have to get used to its
peculiarities....just like any other program.
