My email has size limits which this list (and the others I am active
in) would quickly fill...

Also, I don't have any problems with ads (ignore 'em) and signing on
(once converted).

And I don't have to "pop out" of my email program to follow posted
links, etc. And searches for past posts are easy and fast...
(something I've seen others complain about)

P.S. The Yahoo groups (online) now has the ability to expand the
email listing (so it is like the digest format) which I find
sometimes useful.
