Tim, regardless of whether this is "Yahoo's fault"
or not, this message board is VERY POORLY IMPLEMENTED.
I am members of many forums, and this one is by far
the worst to use.

There is an Ad on EVERY message!! This is just about
unheard of elsewhere, as is the rude way that to read
any post the ad loads first, then a loading delay
before the message even appears, then a delay while I
actually am forced to scroll down to see the message
and not the ad.

The thread organising system is hopeless, it is very
hard to go back and forward though threads and then
back to where you were in the main list... If you
log on after a few days, you have to go through a
lot of hassle to find the last post you read, and
on and on.

Ezboards has a different system, which is VERY
functional and a total dream to use after using this
poor design. New boards are free and finding topics
is a dream, and there are next to NO ads to slow
you down when what you go there for is to read
posts, not see useless ads. Topics and threads that
get a lot of posts are preserved at the top of the
page, (like the digitiser thread!) and if you
don't care for a topic you never-ever have to load
any of it.

This board NEEDS to be criticised, not for the
wonderful members and their great posts, but for
the really poor way it works. Have a look at:

For a "typical" ezboard forum. They are a dream to
use, and as this forum grows to a *large* size
the moderators here need to consider providing
a more funtional system to the members.

I am worried that many of the members here may
never have experienced a good forum system and
think this is as good as it gets. I really enjoy
reading people's posts here, but I really hate
having to tolerate the ads and poorly designed
system, and commercial crap.

good members always are. But please be open-
minded for a minute and check out the link I
posted, and imagine if all these posts from
your friends were on THAT system...
