I'll send you a copy of the mill drill procedure separately to keep the
bandwidth of the message down.
I was lucky I found some ballscrews that were the low end $.98 an inch
variety. I replaced the balls with a slight oversize ball and found the
backlash to be near .001 . I checked the pitch on my lathe and found that at
12" the pitch was on the money.
