Hello everyone,
I am in the process of building a table top CNC bridge milling
machine. The help I need is the machining of the base plate for this
project. I will supply a 24 x 27 inch aluminum plate, either .375 or
.500 thick. The work I need done includes rounding the corners to a
2" radius, cutting a 5 x 10 inch notch on one of the long edges,
drilling a pattern of .250 and smaller holes for the mounting of the
bridge and the Y axis linear guide rails. I would also like to have
two .750 wide .125 deep grooves 6 inches long machined in the plate
which would intersect with two .500 x 1.25 x 5" grooves for the
bridge. These grooves and the drilled hole pattern need to be
precisely alligned with each other and perpendicular to each other. I
can provide a drawing for clarity and provide a DXF file for convesion
to g-code.
I am will pay for shipment both ways and for having this work done on
a CNC mill or router, which ever is appropriate. This is NOT a rush
job, after all this is a hobby for me so whoever would like to produce
this for me can fit it in to your normal work schedule.
Please contact me off list if you would be willing to produce this
part for me
