Doug,
Best way to check is with an ohm-meter and/or visual inspection.
Probably is connected, but dont sustitute a connection to the
case as a substitute for ground or vice versa, treat them separate
and connect to them individually. If you need it to be floating
you can probably isolate them, but be careful. Are you trying to
'stack' the supplies for a higher voltage or different voltage
confuguration?
