Newby- Again and My First Home Brew Project.

Greetings again,

I was a subscriber to this groups sometime ago but I didn't have much to
add to it so I unsubscribed. Well thanks to Mr.Gringer's informative
seminar at the Cabin Fever Show (thanks Ron), and the need for a CNC lathe,
I have decided to resubscribe. I would like to build a removable CNC module
for my Clausing 14 inch lathe. I am thinking about using 2 Dolphin Guides
slide units, ( http://www.dolphinguides.com )although I could make up my
own slides, and a couple of 200 oz.in. steppers. My first question is, who
makes a good lathe control program? Next question, does anybody have any
experience with Stepper Controls .com's products? Thier products seem very
reasonably priced. Any other good sources?
I am still in the "thinking about it" mode but if this project gets off
the ground, I promise I will post my progress.
